NAVSH Postgraduate Course

NAVSH Postgraduate Certificate Partnership Model

NAVSH is pleased to update you on the development of the Postgraduate Certificate Programme and the delivery model that will be adopted from September 2026.

Following the submissions of ‘expressions of Interest’ (EOI) and a series of interviews with five higher education providers, the NAVSH Board considered two potential approaches: commissioning a single preferred provider or establishing a partnership model involving multiple providers. As all five providers met the EOI requirements, and in recognition of the diverse learning needs and interests around the education of vulnerable learners, the Board voted unanimously to proceed with a partnership model.

This approach will offer participants greater flexibility and choice, enabling colleagues to select the course structure, delivery style, and academic focus that best meets their needs. The Board also expressed a strong interest in developing opportunities for shared learning and research dissemination. As part of this, NAVSH intends to introduce a research bursary, available to NAVSH members on completion of the programme and submission of research outcomes.
